Across State Lines: Leibold Signs with Sacramento

Published

on

Another player that departed Sporting Kansas City at the end of the 2025 season has a new club, at least in the short term. Former left back, Tim Leibold has signed a 25 day contract with USL Championship side, Sacramento Republic. Leibold immediately jumped into the team, coming off the bench in their win over Sporting Jax this past weekend. Sacramento currently sits fourth in the USL Championship’s Western Conference with 26 points. The Republic though are closer to ninth place Phoenix Rising on 22 points than they are to second place San Antonio FC on 31 points.

One of the stars of Sacramento’s big win over Jacksonville was another former Kansas City player, as Memo Rodriguez recorded a hattrick of assists in the 5-0 win this week.

Here’s the rest of this week’s update.
