The Kansas City Comets defeated the Baltimore Blast for the first time since 2017 on Saturday night at Cable Dahmer Arena. In Baltimore’s first visit to Kansas City in just over three years, Lesia Thetsane went off for four goals for the Comets as they won 8-5 tightening the standings at the top of the MASL as the playoffs close in. With all the teams in the league having two to three games remaining, first through fifth in the standings are separated by a total of just two points with the Blast in first on 39, three teams, including the Comets tied on 38 points, and the St. Louis Ambush in fifth place on 37 points.

The win was Stefan Stokic’s 41st in league play as head coach, tying him with Leo Gibson for 4th all time on that list.

Zach Reget’s 2 assists gave him 49 in league play for KC, moving him ahead of Byron Alvarez and into 9th all time on that list.

The 2 assists gave him 54 in all competitions, breaking his tie with Alvarez for 9th all time on that list as well.

Phillip Ejimadu recorded his 22nd win in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Boris Pardo for 3rd all time on that list.

Lesia Thetsane’s first goal was his 38th in all competitions, breaking his tie with Adam James for 19th all time on that list.

Thetsane’s 4 points gave him 70 in all competitions for KC, moving him ahead of Christian Anderaos and Max Touloute for 17th all time on that list.

Sousa and Anderaos became the 56th and 57th players to appear in 100 games in league play for KC indoor teams.

Pino became the 88th player to reach 50 points in all competitions for KC indoor teams.

Hollimon became the 125th player to appear in 50 league games for KC indoor teams.
