Shades of Blue on World Cup moments, new SKC signing

On this episode, we’re talking about our favorite moments of the World Cup so far.

The Shades of Blue Soccer Show is reliving the best moments from the World Cup so far, discussing the new player for Sporting KC, and managing hopes for the USMNT.

Kansas City has been incredibly lucky with some absolutely fantastic soccer matches this tournament. From Messi and Argentina to the madhouse that was Algeria vs Austria! Not just the matches, but everything off the field as well. The show talks through their CORE Moments of the World Cup so far.

Was it the Banderazo on the plaza? The Oranje March downtown? Was it Gio Reyna’s trivela? Or the 96th minute equalizer from Austria?

Let us know your favorite THING from the World Cup!

Sporting KC and David Lee have got things started with the addition of 29-year-old Emir Karic. The club announced last week the acquisition of the defender from Austrian club Sturm Graz. He is expected to slot in at left back for SKC. David Lee has noted he expects to be quite active this window and he’s mentioned several possible additions. Hopefully, the wheels are turning and Karic is the first of many!

The KC Current got back in action with a 2-0 loss to Gotham FC in the NWSL Challenge Cup.

We also talk about the US Men’s National Team after the (meaningless) last minute loss to Turkiye. Have your hopes or expectations shifted ahead of the Bosnia & Herzegovina match?
