Across State Lines: Scott Helping Bring NSL Team to Winnipeg

The Canadian Northern Super League is expanding with the help of former FC Kansas City and KC Current midfielder, Desiree Scott. The new expansion team will be coming to Scott’s home town of Winnipeg and is scheduled to start play in the 2027 season. Scott joins the club as Vice President, Community & Player Experience. Winnipeg will be the league’s first expansion side after it started in 2025 with six teams. Scott played in the league’s inaugural season with Ottawa Rapid FC.
