Thought the excitement surrounding the U.S. Men’s National Team ended with the 2026 FIFA World Cup more than 41 days ago? Nope.

Current and future USMNT players have been moving and shaking. Transfers have been (mostly) completed (window closes September 1st in England.). Preseason tours for clubs around the world have concluded, and some leagues have already begun play.

But the news does not stop there. The U.S. Soccer Federation rehired Mauricio Pochettino to a new contract through the 2030 World Cup. Thus, the USMNT pool will likely expand to include up-and-coming players like 19-year-old Zavier Gozo, whose transfer to Crystal Palace has been finalized, and 16-year-old Cavan Sullivan (who will transfer to Manchester City in September of 2027).

Perhaps the biggest news is from Folarin Balogun’s camp. The 25-year-old striker is being courted by Tottenham Hotspur for a possible deal from AS Monaco that could reach beyond 60 million pounds.

Late drop: Center back Mark McKenzie is apparently returning to the U.S. to his former club Philadelphia Union according to The Athletic. But not until January.

USMNT Completed transfers as of Tuesday, August 18, 2026:

Max Arfsten, 25, left wingback, from Columbus Crew to Middlesbrough, English Championship

Sebastian Berhalter, 25, midfielder, from Vancouver Whitecaps to Middlesbrough, English Championship

Gio Reyna, 23, midfielder/attacker, from Borussia Monchengladbach to Strasbourg, Ligue 1

Bryan Reynolds, 25, right back, Westerlo to Stade Rennais, Ligue 1

Diego Kochen, 20, goalkeeper, Barcelona to Lyngby Boldklub (Denmark) on loan

Zavier Gozo, 19, Wing back, Real Salt Lake to Crystal Palace

There are additional rumors about clubs courting Fulham’s left wingback Antonee “Jedi” Robinson and Bournemouth’s defensive midfielder Tyler Adams, along with fading rumors regarding a move for PSV Eindhoven’s right wingback Sergino Dest.
