Ted Lasso’s mustache is iconic. The absolute aura it carries is unmatched. The stach’ makes the beloved character who he is! But is the Ted Lasso mustache real?

This week, on the Shades of Blue Soccer Show, we’re joined by Isaac Knopf, Production Assistant on Apple’s hit show Ted Lasso. He takes us behind the scenes on the set as they filmed right here in Kansas City.

Isaac tells us what the cast is like in real life and how they’re different from their characters. Is Juno Temple actually that loud? Hannah Waddingham is the most like her character, and even gave Isaac the adoring name “Her Little Feeder b****.”

The verdict about the Ted Lasso mustache is at the beginning of the show. But we also get another important answer… Is Coach Beard’s beard real?

We also, begrudgingly, dive into a rough weekend of soccer here in Kansas City. Sporting KC had a miserable shutout loss in Colorado and the KC Current fell to Gotham FC.

Manu Garcia has been left out of lineups recently and Head Coach Rafael Wicky indicated the DP midfielder may be on his way out. That was followed by reports from Greece which indicate he may be returning to his old club.

Is this a blessing in disguise? Manu totaled 4 goals and 14 assists in his SKC career. Both those numbers, and they eye test, don’t quite seem up to par for a #10 in this league.
