The Kansas City Current welcomes goalkeeper Marisa Jordan (née Bova) from the North Carolina Courage. Jordan arrives via trade in exchange for a 2026 international roster spot.

Jordan, age 25, played college soccer at Purdue. In her senior year, she captained her senior year and lead her team into their first NCAA tournament for the first time in twelve years, becoming the first player in program history to pass the single-season 100 save mark, setting the program record with 113 saves.

Drafted in the 2022 NWSL draft to the Courage, Jordan made her professional debut in the 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Summer Cup where she kept NC alive in the competition through penalty kicks but lost to the eventual tournament champions, the KC Current. Her regular season debut came just a few months ago in September 2025, where she started five consecutive matches, earning one shutout.

Jordan, who signed a contract through 2027, joins after Laurel Ivory announced her departure from the club last week.

The Current have four out of six international slots open.
