The 2025 soccer season is over for Sporting Kansas City. It’s safe to say, it didn’t go the way anyone who supports Sporting KC would have wanted it to go. What we would like to know is exactly how each and every one of you perceived the season, the players, the coaching, ownership, the stadium experience, podcasts, local media coverage and more.

We’ve collaborated with our friend Ben Wright at SixOneFive Soccer, who covers Nashville SC to put together a post-season fan survey to hear from anyone who consumes MLS in any way, shape or form. Ben and his team have been running this survey for the past few years, and he reached out to me to spread the word to the Sporting Kansas City faithful.

We want to get your opinion on Sporting KC specific topics, as well as topics all-around Major League Soccer. Big topics like the Apple MLS Season Pass and the possibility of switching the MLS calendar.

SixOneFive Soccer teamed up with 22 independent soccer outlets to create team-specific surveys and the aforementioned MLS fan survey. We’re excited to hear from more of you, and to try and get a comprehensive look of how fans view the league: good, bad, and in between.

If you are here because you support another team, that’s great! You’ll see options in the survey to pick your team. Upon selecting your team, many of you will be directed to a team-specific survey curated by a local outlet, before heading to the broader MLS survey that everyone will participate in.

The survey will be open through November 17. Look for results to be posted here during the week leading up to MLS Cup.
Thanks for participating! We can’t wait to hear from you.

Since 2014, Chad Smith has been deeply involved in covering Kansas City soccer. He's written about Sporting KC, the KC Current and SKC II for numerous platforms, including The Blue Testament, which was the precursor to the KC Soccer Journal. While his initial connection to Sporting KC was established in Phoenix covering preseason, he now resides in the Kansas City area, offering thorough analysis and a strong commitment to local soccer.
