A perfect weekend for Kansas City soccer with games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday among Kansas City’s three teams. All three games were at home, and all three teams came away with wins. The KC Current got the weekend started with a 2-0 win on Friday night over the Houston Dash on a pair of goals from Temwa Chawinga. On Saturday Sporting KC continued to mess with Texas as they took down Austin FC 2-0 with Tim Leibold and Stephen Afrifa scoring. On Sunday, Sporting KC II finished the weekend out with a 2-2 (5-3) shootout win over Austin FC II at Rock Chalk Park thanks to a pair of goals from Beto Avila.
