Sporting Kansas City’s return to the US Open Cup after a one year break was a short one. In an incredibly rough outing for Sporting at Weider Field KC bowed out of the competition at the first hurdle losing 3-0 to the Colorado Springs Switchbacks on Tuesday night. Goals from Juan Tejada, Sadam Masereka, and Khori Bennett led the Switchbacks to the win. Here are the stats and milestones from the disappointing midweek performance for Kansas City.
