Or Blorian to Miss Remainder of Sporting KC’s Season

On Friday, newly signed center back, Or Blorian made a surprise announcement on his Instagram account. He had to undergo a medical procedure that saved his life. He indicated he hadn’t been feeling quite right and felt out of shape which led to his examination and procedure.

Later on Friday, Sporting Kansas City confirmed he would miss the remainder of the 2026 season.

The team stated Blorian underwent extensive cardiac testing and had to have a procedure on his heart by the team’s cardiologist, Dr. Anthony Magalski, at Saint Luke’s Hospital.

“I would like to thank the medical staff at the club as well as Dr. Erickson and Dr. Magalski for identifying the problem and acting so fast to save my life,” Blorian said. “I already feel so much better, I am staying positive and hope to have a speedy recovery. I will stay in Kansas City with the guys every day for the rest of the season and I look forward to supporting the team at the game tomorrow.”

In the last month I’ve felt “out of shape” and the last few days it has been accompanied with some chest pain during workouts.

After thorough examination, it was revealed that I had to undergo a medical procedure that saved my life.

I’m fine, recovering and waiting to get back to the fields to do the thing I love most in the world.
Thank God for the protection from heaven and an obvious miracle that we found the problem on time and treated it.

Here is to a speedy recovery for Or and the hope that he can return to the great form he experienced with Hapoel Be’er Sheva where he aided them in winning the Israeli Premier League title. Blorian, just 26-years-old, arrived at Sporting KC this summer on a free transfer that he had agreed to in the Spring.
