Erik Bergrud from the Kansas City Comets broadcast team and Thad Bell from the Kansas City Soccer Journal recorded the latest episode of The Blue Turf. We were back at the now “World Famous” Kansas City Soccer Dome. Make sure to stick around for both segments!

Lots of MASL news for Erik and Thad to discuss. Games moving back to youtube, the new broadcast deal with CBS Golazo, and an additional broadcast team member for the Comets. We also break a little news about a new player for Kansas City. He may not be available this weekend but, but this Chilean forward has the potential to make a huge impact.

In the second segment which starts around the 25th minute (depending on mandatory advertisements), Managing Partner Brian Budzinski joins the pod to discuss all the broadcast news, the league, and new players. So much great information from Budzinski. We get his thoughts on a few of the players, including the Chilean attacker and a rookie defender that might get more playing time than expected.

The CBS Sports Golazo Network will be the exclusive home to 40 matches live MASL matches this season, including ten appearances for the Comets. The first Golazo match will be Kansas City’s home opener on December 1st when the St. Louis Ambush visit. All three home matches for the Comets in December and a trip to Milwaukee will feature for Golazo.

The Comets have not announced this  news yet but they have added a third member of the broadcast team. Sideline, halftime and post-game interviews from an experienced MASL reporter will bring another layer to their broadcast.
