I don’t know if you meant to publish this at 3am, but I’m here for it!

It’s game day people!

J.Wm.

Well, there’s some dog puke pink scattered in the stands, but not to the extent as at the first visit. Dismayed to see they’ve taken over 1/3 of the South Stand, though… >:(

David Greenwald

Disappointing that any of them are here at all but they seem to be contained to one disgusting area.

J.Wm.

Yah, parolees get a day out once in a while.

Dag

I sat 1 row away from Dog Food SC supporters. they were very quiet after the first goal

kcrews123

There’s noticeably less STL fans here than before. Thank God

A player I specifically hate on STL’s roster is Adeniran; he’s dirty and reckless. Curious to see if he’s as reckless and dangerous (to the wellbeing of other players) as he has in the last few games, and if Elfath makes calls accordingly.

Worried about Klauss and Adeniran overwhelming the backline too. They just needed to take Klauss ut of the game last week, but Fontas and Rosero don’t do well when they can’t team up and have to worry about multiple threats.

3 minutes in and a couple weak calls already. If he’s calling these for them, they sure better be called both ways.

jdkus11

This has been a little too lopsided so far. We need to quit giving up these set pieces but keep absorbing their pressure.

jdkus11

That was dangerous. i almost would have rather taken the foul at the top of the box though.

KCSpurs1996

Yellow card was a long time coming for STL

Anyone else think Pulido has looked a step behind or too slow when moving forward the last few games?

jdkus11

Ndenbe and Rosero are sending them diving with these little shoulder moves and I love it

kcrews123

No call on the body layout for Russell?

jdkus11

We keep holding onto the ball juuuust a second too long in the box. Kinda and Salloi have gotten in some incredible spots but the ball is stuck to their foot. Also, I think that was a lot closer to a PK than the announcers would have us believe. It doesn’t matter what the stakes are, if it’s a foul it’s a foul.

kcrews123

No call on a blatant handball, which leads to a yellow even though it’s Pulido’s first foul. Come on.

Just before the half, perfect!

KCSpurs1996

Ndenbe is just in incredible form right now!

dancey.prancy

If Ndembe keeps this up, eventually he’s going to break the net with these rockets he keeps sending in.

David Greenwald

Dogfood FC ought to have been called for a PK on a shove to Kinda in the box and, IMO, for Blom shoulder checking Johnny in the face in the box.

StL as a whole is such a dirty team. They all play like assholes.

kcrews123

They do play pretty dirty for the most part. I think refs have slowly caught on to them throughout the season. Half of the calls for us tonight wouldn’t have been called at the beginning of the season, and would have very possibly turned into them running at goal and scoring; the first half of their season capitalized 1/3 on the other team passing them the ball in front of goal, 1/3 on rough fouls leading to a turnover that leads to a goal, and 1/3 solid play.
Somehow, they’re still able to get away with a good amount of dirty play though.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

i will say we have DEFINITELY grown into this game. not gonna lie I’m feeling a st Louis red card coming… I’m calling it now either Parker, Lowen, or Blom.

They’re going to be pushing hard this half, and are probably adjusting to put more pressure on us. They’ve been so narrow up front and that’s kept them from doing much since it pushed Klauss and Adeniran so close together. I think they’re stretch out the front line, forcing us to stretch a bit, and try to exploit the gaps

This is gonna be a rough half

kcrews123

Leaving your leg hanging up high like that is a foul, right? It was hard to tell who did what exactly

Last edited 2 years ago by kcrews123
jdkus11

That was almost really bad. I got pretty scared that he hurt his knee again the way that his leg buckled. Really glad Kinda is ok

jdkus11

Honestly, I feel worse that I doubted Melia this season than that I doubted PV. That was an incredible save

kcrews123

We’re looking kind of out of it since the start of the half.
Gioachinni is in now, it could start getting real sketchy for the last 25 minutes if we don’t pull out another goal

This feels similar to the start of the first half. We need to start mucking things up and hitting them with the long balls again.

jdkus11

YESSSSSS! LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!

jdkus11

Twellman loves to try and act like he’s not an STL hack, but he has had some duuuumb things to say tonight.

wet water

Sooooooo….with this all sewn up except for the inevitable Dogfood FC frustration red card, would y’all rather go up against Houston or RSL next round?

jdkus11

Probably RSL. I think Houston is more dangerous and RSL didn’t end the season too hot. However, we are typically pretty bad in RSL and I’d be worried about beating them back to back at home.

David in the Chat

Give me Houston. No altitude. Late enough in the year that the weather shouldn’t be a factor. And Ben Olsen sucks.

J.Wm.

Concur. Playing RSL is akin to a trip into the Twilight Zone – strange occurrences abound. I’ll take my chances with Houston.

kcrews123

What was Rosero doing? There wasn’t a need to make such a hard tackle there. He could have gotten a red there, and now he hurt himself too.

David in the Chat

For me that’s a red. Ugly and dumb.

kcrews123

What. Was. That.

jdkus11

Come on, do not let this up SKC

kcrews123

12 minutes? Seems a little generous, but nothing crazy considering the amount of injuries and a couple goals

jdkus11

12 minutes? That is insane, it’s like we’re watching the World Cup again.

jdkus11

I can’t believe Twellman is seriously asking for a red card on Salloi there. Yaro is 100% more at fault for that. Salloi went to ground before Yaro ever did.

wet water

I guess they are just going to keep playing until Dogfood score…12 minutes was ridiculous and yet they keep going

jdkus11

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

SportsChum

The boys are looking good! Now it’s time to heal up and get ready for the next round.
