I don’t want to die!
US, Current, SKC, UMKC and a questioned pick for end-of-year awards

There is a different lineup for the pod this week. Cody and Thad are joined by Mike Kuhn to bring his encyclopedic knowledge and sprinkle MikeStats! throughout the various segments. Someone has to keep Cody in line with the facts.
Mauricio Pochettino has arrived and coached the United States Men’s National Team to victory in his first match. Not only is he giving the fans wins, and the players confidence, but he’s already giving us great audio. Listen in during the first segment of the pod for Pochettino’s prophetic words. An interesting observation from veteran defender Tim Ream came out this week. He said they hadn’t done a 2-hour practice in his 14 years with the national team so apparently that is also new. We discuss the win, the players, the quotes and was it better than before in the first segment.
It is all KC Current and NWSL in the second segment. Temwa Chawinga scores again, number 19, and sets a new NWSL single-season record. The Current have secured at least one home playoff game, but they have their eyes on home-field advantage for the entire playoff run but could use a little help. Next up is the Wave who have lots of issues right now.
Sporting KC go on the road to face Dallas in the last match of a depressing year for club and fans. They announced their end-of-season awards. Thad has a wild pick for Defender of the Year.
