Sporting Kansas City and Sporting KC II had another rough weekend with both teams falling on the road on Sunday by a combined 8-2 score line. Sporting KC II started the evening with a 3-0 loss at Energizer Park, losing 3-0 to St. Louis City 2. Then later in the evening, Sporting’s first team continued their rough run of form, falling 5-2 to the Seattle Sounders.

Sporting KC

The loss is the 17th of the season in all competitions for John Pulskamp in goal for KC. This ties a club record for losses for a goalkeeper in a single season with Mike Ammann (1998) and Tim Melia (2019).

Clarke made his 70th appearance in all competitions for KC, tyin him with Jahon Rad for 4th all time on that list.

In the 2nd minute, Maouloune Goumballe passed Wilson Harris and moved into 12th place all time for league minutes played for KC. In the 65th minute, Goumballe then passed Colton Storm and moved into 11th all time on that list. He finished the game with 4,093 minutes played.

Goumballe made his 47th league start for KC, tying him with Zendejas for 10th all time on that list.

Goumballe made his 48th start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Kharlton Belmar for 13th all time on that list.

Goumballe and Cielo Tschantret made their 49th league appearance for KC, tying them with Nansel Selbol for 15th all time on that list.

The pair also made their 50th appearance in all competitions, they’re the 21st and 22nd players to reach that milestone.

Their 50th appearance in all competitions also tied them with Mark Anthony Gonzalez for 20th all time on that list.

In the 48th minute, Tschantret passed Kayden Pierre and moved into 20th all time for league minutes played for KC. He finished the game with 3,443 minutes played.

Tschantret made his 38th league start for KC, tying him with Pierre and Parker Maher for 19th all time on that list.

It was his 39th start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Pierre for 20th all time on that list.
