The second half of the KC Current season kicked off on Friday night at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville as the Current continued their strong season coming out 2-0 winners moving their to 12-2 on the season and, at least temporarily, extending their lead for the NWSL Shield to eleven points.

Here are the stats and milestones from Friday night.

KC Current

Izzy Rodriguez recorded her 9th league assist for KC, tying her with Debinha and Vanessa DiBernardo or 2nd all time on that list.

Rodriguez made her 41st league start for KC, tying her with Kristen Edmonds for 9th all time on that list.

Debinha made her 50th league appearance for KC. She’s the 9th player to reach that mark.

Elizabeth Ball’s goal was her 3rd in league play for KC, tying her with Elyse Bennett, Darian Jenkins, and Alexa Spaanstra for 12th all time on that list.

It was her 3rd goal in all competitions, tying her with Bennett, Jenkins, and Spaanstra for 13th all time on that list.

Michelle Cooper recorded her 6th league assist for KC, breaking her tie with Bia Zaneratto for 8th all time on that list.

It was Cooper’s 9th assist in all competitions, tying her with Debinha for 5th all time on that list.

In the 22nd minute, Cooper passed Edmonds and moved into 9th all time for league minutes played for KC. She finished the game with 3,540 minutes played.

Temwa Chawinga made her 44th appearance in all competitions for KC, tying her with Victoria Pickett and Alex Loera for 14th all time on that list.

Chawinga made her 42nd start in all competitions, breaking her tie with Loera for 12th all time on that list.
