Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: A Weekend in Kansas City

This weekend saw all three professional teams in action with games in Kansas City. On Saturday the KC Current kicked off the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup at CPKC Stadium against the Houston Dash. The Current picked up a 3-1 win in that game to go joint top of their group. Also on Saturday at Children’s Mercy Park, Sporting KC got a 1-1 draw against St. Louis City SC. On Sunday at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Sporting KC II closed the weekend out with a 3-1 win over St. Louis City 2 to get their first regulation win since early June.

Sporting KC
