I haven’t had a chance to listen yet, sorry. But, I’ll add that scrolling on Facebook I stumbled on another rumor that Cruz azul is taking a look at Pulido while Chivas tries to figure out whether they will bring him back or not. Cruz azul previously was linked to Aguirre, u-23 striker for the national team that plays for Santos Laguna, but reportedly the deal fell apart as either the team or the player (doria the cb that was reportedly also transferring from santos to cruz azul apparently also fell through for the same reason) wanted more money as the deal was being finalized and Cruz Azul refused. So, if that’s all true (reminder this is all behind close doors since it’s the off season but not technically the transfer window yet), then cruz azul has a need for another striker.

Previously, I commented that Cruz azul was working to find a home for their backup striker who disappointed since his transfer from Chile, Ivan Morales. He was reportedly being negotiated to be loaned to Juarez and the team even agreed to cover part of his salary to make the deal happen but I haven’t heard if that’s been sealed yet. They also have Lotti who came from Argentina and was the starter and had an up and down season. So they’d figuratively have him as the backup, in the case they sign another striker like pulido or someone else. So that’s why the team is ready to dump morales. He’s a bit like pulido in that he’s one that will move around a bit to create, and he’s the more sturdy option of the two current players like pulido is (since most players in Mexico have nicknames his is “tanque” which means tank). However, his fault is his finishing at times which is concerning about bringing in a player like that. He seemed to be good at his prior club Colo-Colo in Chile (hey he’d be another Rubio) and has an appearance with the national team. But since his move to cruz azul he hasn’t done much for the salary he’s been paid (I think it was close to half a mil per season) which is why cruz azul was willing to pay part of his wages to make a move happen. But if a trade happened, it would be a reclamation project instead of a finish product like pulido. But, apparently that’s never stopped Peter. He is 23 so it wouldn’t be another guy transfer.

But I also see Cruz azul wanting him this transfer window so he could play in the next tournament starting in august/sept vs waiting to get him in December and play him immediately in the spring tournament that starts Jan/Feb with essentially no off season.

However, this is also gossip/hearsay. Tvazteca, the site that had the story, is also the one who put out a story that pulido was in Monterrey in the offseason negotiating a transfer when he was just on vacation with his then wife. And they also claim that Cruz azul has also been linked to Funes Mori if he were to be moved by Monterrey. So who really knows.

Thanks, since I follow the Mexican national team closer than I do America’s I tend to follow the Mexican teams closer that usually send more players to the national team. I’m not overly involved in the entire league, just mostly the bigger clubs and the higher profile teams. Mls i really only know Sporting and occasionally tune in to a Houston or Lafc game for Herrera and Vela.

It’s worth noting after a second read, that Cruz azul still maintains their main interest in Aguirre, but they hold Pulido as a plan b should that fall through (as it’s rumored to be tthe case) due to pulido not being able to move until December even though he’s open to a move prior to that. They also mention that Transfermarkt values him at 3 mil…so sporting wouldn’t be off by much in their price tag if he wasn’t in the last 6 months of his contract.

Here’s the link to the story I saw, but there’s multiple out there. I tried finding one that’s translated but was unable to so it will be in Spanish.
