Published

Another disappointing result at Children’s Mercy Park on Wednesday night as Sporting KC fell to the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1. It’s become a situation all too familiar to Kansas City fans this season, especially at home where Sporting has just one win in MLS play so far this season. With manager, Peter Vermes rotating a lot of the lineup there were not a lot of milestones and stats from the game on Wednesday night, but here are a handful of stats and milestones from the game.

Daniel Salloi made his 231st appearance in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Jimmy Conrad for 11th all time on that list.

Salloi made his 53rd substitute appearance in all competitions, tying him with Graham Zusi for 7th all time on that list.

It was Salloi’s 38th substitute appearance in league play for KC, tying him with Soony Saad for 13th all time on that list.

At 20 years, 177 days, Alenis Vargas became the 20th youngest player to start a league game for KC.

Marinos Tzionis made his 42nd substitute appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with Gerso Fernandes for 14th all time on that list.
