I don’t understand how VAR doesn’t at least call him to the screen. Especially since he didn’t even point to the spot until the crowd started screaming. It’s like I’m watching a high school ref respond to angry parents.

2nd goal was fine. Imo not a foul on kinda. He did get ball cleanly. Just a hard tackle. Still hate the refs for not handling this game well at all

This sucks. If STL has a comparable schedule as us and the PK hadn’t been gifted, this could be a really fun game. But instead, we’re dealing with awful reffing and us being dead from playing 3 games in 8 days and a road trip all the way out to LA.
Salloi’s yellow was the exact same tackle that Blom had on Kinda that led to the 2nd goal. EXACT same. Got ball but also cleared the player out.

The referee has no consistency on what is excessive contact. That is clear. Radoja’s tackle is clean, with their ankles colliding after he gets the ball. That’s a pen. Kinda is cleared out twice. Once no card. Other no foul. Salloi makes essentially the same tackle. Yellow. A foul I wouldn’t have disputed.
If he goes to VAR for this BS and not the PK, I’m going to lose my mind.

Aside from the awful ref, Twellman is right about the midfield looking weak. Zusi has underwhelmed, too. Would love to see Davis and Thommy in the second half.
Was thinking the same thing. Russell is having to spend more time saving Zusi from near disaster than driving the ball forward, and Gadi Kinda just has shown flashes, but just doesnt look sharp.
