Ballsy move with McIntosh getting the start at lafc

Mr Pithetahead

The same XI as Saturday, except for GK? That seems like a recipe to lose 2 games while running your players into the ground. I hope Vermes proves me wrong, but this style of roster management has drive fans like me crazy for years. #VermesOut

David

This has probably been said plenty, but it’s really annoying that the game never starts at the time it’s listed at. 9:10 first, then 930, now it’s 9:35 and it went to the last commercial before kickoff

jdkus11

Dang, I think McIntosh should’ve had that one. But Fontas got totally worked on that. You know that he’s going to have to cut that one back on you when he’s that close to the end line, so why are you diving in so he’d on the cross? Trust your keeper to take care of that and be ready for the cut back.

kcrews123

That goal should have never happened. Fontas shouldnt be the one on the outside having to attempt to track down the runner, Rosero didn’t step till it was too late, no one tracked Bouanga, and Mcintosh should absolutely not be getting beat by a ball going under him

David Greenwald

A comedy of errors.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

That was classic JFR right there

KCSpurs1996

Well, we got Bouanga’d. Seems like McIntosh could have done better on that…although Ndenbe and Fontas both got worked. Fontas should have stayed put and allowed Ndenbe to chase down Opoku. Instead they both got pulled out of position and sort of half-swapped each others’ spots, but neither did each other’s job effectively.

SportsChum

And that is how you fight back! What a slick goal by Russell

Jake is not having a good day

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

Disagree.

David Greenwald

A lot of guys aren’t looking particularly good

David

Particularly fontas.

SportsChum

No look backwards heel kick nutmeg… was that Pulido? Nice…

David Greenwald

I think Johnny deserved a PK. Ref will call it shoulder to shoulder but I saw the LAFC defender clear out Johnny’s legs and get 0% of the ball.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

I 100% agree. Easily noticable on review

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

Actually think after the first 15 min we’ve been on the front foot and more goal dangerous

David

I’m gonna make my hot take now that ilie is rocking the long hair. Looking Greek-esque out there

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

Anyone else notice early on Radoja’s gutsy chip over the attacker in our defensive half to I believe Ndenbe? 100% on point pass.

jdkus11

I’m so tired I can’t hang anymore, but this has been a fun half to watch. Two goalkeeping gaffes have kept us level and Sporting has had some real dangerous opportunities from attacking up the middle. I hope they can keep it up for another 45.

kcrews123

That was a fun half to watch. My worry now though is LAFC adjusts and blows us out. Cherundolo is excellent at adapting, whereas Vermes is quite the opposite

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

I feel like we need Tzionis in earlier than PV likes to sub

David

That was absolutely terrible

SportsChum

Gotta hang on… but not literally man

Not sure what Fountas was doing there. You do not need to hold Carlos Vela above the box, he wasn’t going to win a header there. Just gave away a great chance needlessly.

David Greenwald

Who had a double sub in the 60th minute?!

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

I like the kinda move

David

God that ball between Salloi and Johnny was begging for someone to shoot

Josh Wallace

I would get Afrifa in and give Pulido some rest.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

And immediately Tzionis over commits… I know I asked for him… But come on…

But hey VAR works for us. And cherundolo even mouthed good call

David Greenwald

Welp.

David

Ugh

David

Park the bus and pray

SportsChum

Hold on guys

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

That’s been a good game from Logan tonight I’d say.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

AFRIFA!

David

Normally I hate shithousery….but since it’s us

Would have been nice to have Afrifa for 20mins but him glad he got put in!

David

Shit!

David Greenwald

I’ll take the draw. Not a bad result.

SportsChum

Well earned point.

CharredOne (aka Dachefsfan)

I’m ok with a draw. It’s on the road, against an extremely talented team, on short rest, with another game on the weekend. Also gives us 7 points in the last 3 league matches. This team seems to be rounding into some sort of positive form. Would still love to see someone filling the hole once Pulido tracks back…

kcrews123

How did the ball not end up in the net in the 94th?! I was about to jump out of bed screaming if we had scored then

Still, nothing to complain about. Expected a loss out of the past 3 games and have walked away with 7 points. They looked like they were playing their lungs out tonight, and it paid off.
Now the kicker is: who plays Saturday?

Still want Vermes out, but for the time being, I’ll take these results.

I was so sure the net was going to ripple there, almost stole all 3 points
