Sporting Kansas City picked up their first home win of the season on Wednesday night at Sporting Park in a 3-1 win over the visiting LA Galaxy. Goals from Capita Capemba, Dejan Joveljic and Calvin Harris led Kansas City to the win. In a bit of poetry, Dejan Joveljic, scoring in his third straight game against his former team, also scored KC’s 100th goal in league play against the Galaxy. Here are the stats and milestones from the midweek MLS action.

The announced attendance of 14,188 is the lowest non-COVID restricted Sporting home game at Sporting Park.

Jake Davis made his 100th appearance in MLS competitions for KC. He’s the 46th player to reach that mark.

Dejan Joveljic’s goal was KC’s 100th league goal against the LA Galaxy, they’re the 3rd team KC has scored 100 league goals against joining the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas.

Joveljic scored his 24th goal in all competitions for KC, tying him with Teal Bunbury and William Agada for 18th all time on that list.

Joveljic scored his 15th league goal at home for KC, tying him with Digital Takawira for 15th all time on that list.

It was his 15th goal at home in all competitions for KC, tying him with Igor Simutenkov for 19th all time on that list.

Stephen Afrifa made his 40th substitute appearance for KC, tying him with Johnny Russell for 16th all time on that list.

It was his 35th substitute appearance in MLS competitions, tying him with Russell for 17th all time on that list.

It was his 35th in league play as well, tying him with Russell for 15th all time on that list.
