Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: LaBonta Hits 10,000 Minutes and 100 Starts

The Kansas City Current kept their unbeaten start to the 2024 season going on Sunday at CPKC Stadium with a 1-0 win over the North Carolina Courage. In the win, Current captain, Lo LaBonta hit a career milestone in the NWSL as well as one for KC. LaBonta became the latest player in the NWSL to reach the 10,000 minutes played mark. She also became only the second player in KC NWSL history to start 100 games for the Current, FC Kansas City, or both.

 

Here are the other stats and milestones from Sunday.

KC Current

Elizabeth Ball made her 71st appearance in all competitions, tying her with Kate Del Fava for 2nd all time on that list.

Debinha scored her 10th goal in league play for KC, tying her with Kristen Hamilton for 3rd all time on that list.

It was her 13th goal in all competitions, tying her with Lo LaBonta for 3rd all time on that list.

Debinha made her 23rd league appearance for KC, breaking her tie with Darian Jenkins for 20th all time on that list.

Debinha and Izzy Rodriguez made their 19th start in league play for KC, breaking their tie with Jenkins and Michelle Cooper for 14th all time on that list.

AD Franch made her 62nd start in all competitions for KC, breaking her tie with Hamilton for 3rd all time on that list.

In the 7th minute, Hailie Mace passed Del Fava and moved into 5th all time on the list for minutes played in all competitions for KC. In the 77th minute, Mace then passed Hamilton and moved into 4th place all time on that list. She finished the game with 5,157 minutes played.

In the 58th minute, Gabrielle Robinson passed Alex Loera and moved into 11th place all time for league minutes played for KC. In the 85th minute, Robinson then passed Desiree Scott and moved into 10th place all time on that list. She finished the game with 2,511 minutes played.

Robinson made her 29th league appearance, tying her with Chardonnay Curran for 13th all time on that list.

Robinson made her 28th league start for KC, breaking her tie with Loera for 11th all time on that list.

Michelle Cooper made her 27th league appearance, tying her with Addisyn Merrick for 15th all time on that list.

Cooper made her 33rd appearance in all competitions for KC, tying her with Addie McCain for 17th all time on that list.

In the 15th minute, Vanessa DiBernardo passed Taylor Leach and moved into 19th place all time for minutes played in all competitions. In the 61st minute, DiBernardo tied Jenna Winebrenner for 18th all time on that list. She finished the game with 1,703 minutes played.

KC NWSL

LaBonta made her 100th start in all competitions for KC NWSL teams. She’s the 2nd player to reach that mark.

Debinha’s goal was her 10th in league play for KC NWSL teams, tying her with Hamilton for 7th all time on that list.

Ball made her 71st appearance in all competitions, tying her with Del Fava for 7th all time on that list.

Franch made her 49th league appearance for KC NWSL teams, breaking her tie with Lauren Holiday for 16th all time on that list.

Franch made her 49th league start for KC NWSL teams, tying her with Shea Groom for 10th all time on that list.

Franch made her 62nd start in all competitions, breaking her tie with Hamilton for 9th all time on that list.

In the 7th minute, Mace passed Del Fava and moved into 12th place all time for minutes played in all competitions for KC NWSL teams. In the 46th minute, Mace passed Yael Averbuch and moved into 11th place on that list. In the 77th minute, Mace then passed Hamilton and moved into 10th place all time on that list.
