Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Comets Swept By Tacoma

The KC Comets are closing in on the end of the regular season with just one weekend of games left after this past weekend. This past weekend the Comets player a home and home series with the Tacoma Stars. For the Comets the weekend ended in disappointment as they were swept by the Stars 4-3 on Friday night in Tacoma and 5-4 on Sunday in Kansas City. The loss on Friday wasn’t without controversy as it appeared that the Comets scored in the final seconds of the game to tie it at 4-4, but referees called the goal back after video review for a handball.

Here are the stats and milestones from this weekend.

Zach Reget’s assist was his 31st in league play for KC, breaking his tie with Kiel Williams and Stefan Stokic for 14th all time on that list.

Christian Anderaos made his 94th appearance in all competitions, tying him with Byron Alvarez for 18th all time on that list.

Rian Marques made his 96th appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with Williams for 16th all time on that list.

Christian Anderaos made his 95th appearance in all competitions, tying him with Williams for 17th all time on that list.

Anderaos made his 82nd league appearance for KC, tying him with Coady Andrews for 19th all time on that list.

Lesia Thetsane made his 50th league appearance for KC, he’s the 28th player to reach that mark.
