LFG!!!!

Bleacher Creature

Harris has pace to burn. Wow

Bleacher Creature

Davis isn’t a fullback…

Bleacher Creature

SHAPI!!!

Near post. So sweet.

WonderfulWizHeWas

Did Rapha identify that Shapi was better on the left or was it the case that Harris is best on the right? I’ve been out of the loop because I can’t seem to access this site 90% of the time.

Bleacher Creature

Maybe? I’m not sure, but that would make sense.

Josh Wallace

I’m not sure if Wicky has said it, but Harris is far better on the right than he is on the left. For the vast majority of his career, he has played on the right as well. I do think Shapi was always going to be on the left tonight with no true left back, SKC needed some vertical threat down that side.

WonderfulWizHeWas

Thanks for clarifying. Shapi is just sooooo sloooow.

WonderfulWizHeWas

Is it just me, or has this website been unavailable a lot recently?

wet water

For me it had a security error for something like 2 weeks that kept me from accessing it on some devices but not all, but it seems to be fine now and has been for a week or so.

Thad Bell

Our server had some issues, but it was very inconsistent. Or admin thinks those issues should be resolved.

WonderfulWizHeWas

Well, that equalizer lasted about 60 seconds.

Bleacher Creature

I kinda felt like Pulskamp should have done better with that.

Josh Wallace

Important to note that this has been a theme with Pulskamp since he started. Sporting KC gave up by far the most goals from corners last season, in large part because he did not claim balls in the box.

wet water

Seems like he is good at exactly one thing: reflex saves. The actual business of stopping shots some might say. Everything else, passing, controlling his box, not spilling rebounds, all that stuff he’s sub par at. I suppose that is normal for a young keeper. I kinda want to see Cleveland for a game or 3.

Josh Wallace

Agyabeng is gonna get a really good test for the next 30 minutes because Colorado are going to target him every time.

WonderfulWizHeWas

Wasteful.

WonderfulWizHeWas

I really wanted to watch this game instead of the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, this roster is so far from being competitive that it is unwatchable. I’ll stick with Wicky until he gets a few signings bedded in. This can’t be another year of total frustration. Just seeing the lack of interest in commenting on this site is depressing.

Josh Wallace

Just so sloppy all game from SKC.

Bleacher Creature

Ugh…

WonderfulWizHeWas

If that guy doesn’t fall down over the ball, it’s probably 5-1. I apologize for all the Jake Davis lovers, but if he is your talisman, that tells you all you need to know about this roster. This game isnt his fault, but I don’t understand the love. Just working hard is the bar? It’s not even Davis’ fault. If management recruited proper players he would be a second or third thought on gameday.

WonderfulWizHeWas

At least Afrifa has enough speed to be dangerous. I would stsrt him over Shapi every day of the week. At least the blind sow with no attacking nous could find a truffle by dumping the ball forward to Afrifa or Harris and pray they could loop Joveljic in for a goal now and then. But it all starts from the back. The back four is absolutely a shambles.

Of the five games we played, this one was really the worst performance. Sloppy passing with no urgency in defense. This looked more like last year.

WonderfulWizHeWas

I really hoped that LAG game was a stepping stone. Turns out, it’s just one step forward and two steps back.

WonderfulWizHeWas

You’d think after years of beginning seasons with sub-par rosters due to poor management and recruiting, SKC would be a little more proactive and splash some cash so they don’t dig themselves into an early season hole.

David in the Chat

Borges was a big money CB who just got here. Expect him to be starting sooner rather than later. Capita isn’t in town yet but he’s a big money winger. We added 1 expensive player to each line.

Forward: Deki and Capita
Midfield: Manu and LBJ
Backline: Borges and Blorian (in June).

We’ve got the spine. We need to add fullbacks and a keeper (though we already have half a dozen). The club needs quality depth. But we’ve spent money and those guys will be here real soon

I don’t know why they benched Reynolds. I thought he was doing good, especially going forward.

I only like Davis playing center mid like a chicken with its head cut off, he can be like playing against 12 guys and 2 of them are crazy. Doing anything else he just struggles.

No real fullbacks at all this game. In a system that really needs competent fullbacks for width.

Shapi “Maynard G. Krebs” Suleymanov actually looked fast (for once) on that goal. He should try sprinting more often.

Thad Bell

Reynolds was hurt in the first game and just came back into training recently.

wet water

Ahh right, I’ve got my new R-named backs mixed up. It’s Reid that has been starting and he is injured not benched, and that coincided with Reynolds being healthy enough to be on the bench again.

Thad Bell

I still have to pause and think it through for a second. Jayden Reid and Justin Reynolds. Alphabetically, left to right.
