The Kansas City Current started their 2025 season the same way they started the 2024 season with a win over the Portland Thorns at CPKC Stadium. This year it was a lower scoring affair with only four goals scored compared to the nine last year. The Current came away with a 3-1 win on goals by Temwa Chawinga, Michelle Cooper, and Debinha. Here are the stats and milestones from the game.

KC Current

Debinha scored her 13th league goal for KC, tying her with CeCe Kizer for 3rd all time on that list.

The goal was Debinha’s 21st in all competitions for KC, breaking her tie with Lo LaBonta for 3rd all time on that list.

Debinha’s assist was her 9th in league play for KC, breaking her tie with Vanessa DiBernardo for the most in club history.

Lo LaBonta’s assist was her 8th in league play, tying her with DiBernardo for 2nd all time on that list.
