LOOK: KC Current Unveil new Third Kit
Come look at nine high resolution photos of the new Kansas City Current kit, released this week.
On Thursday, the Kansas City Current added another beautiful jersey to their repertoire. Dubbed, the “Storm Kit,” it will be the first third kit in team history. It joins the Heartland (red) and Teal Town kits from last year.
This is the first dark kit, the “storm” color is not to be confused as black. Instead, it’s pantone 5395 C and a very deep blue. The lightening flashing across the jersey is in the iconic teal color the KC Current are known for.
“We are excited for our players, the Kansas City community, and fans around the world to experience our new Storm Kit, which is an historic addition to our kit lineup,” said Kansas City Current Chief Marketing Officer, Jocelyn Monroe. “The Storm Kit reflects the momentum of the organization both on and off the pitch, while also showcasing our Kansas City pride and brand synergy. This iconic look is poised to be a fan favorite, and we are proud to expand our kit options.”
The team provided nine high resolution photos of the players wearing the full kit, which includes teal socks.
They’ve also hit social media hard with lots of video and other content, including Lo LaBonta and her dog Amigo. And everyone’s favorite monkey, Punch.

What does everyone think of the third Kansas City Current kit?

That is rad!
I had mixed feelings about SKC’s jazz kit, but I unequivocally like this one.
