Published

on

The Kansas City Comets had just a single game this weekend, on Sunday evening in California against the Empire Strykers. After falling behind 6-0 before half time, the Comets were down 7-1 before Lesia Thetsane clawed one back for the Comets. The goal was one of three goals that Thetsane would score for the Comets in the loss. Zach Reget scored twice and Rian Marques scored once as the Comets fought back but they ended up losing 10-6 to the Strykers, falling to 8-4-2 on the season. They’ll get a chance for revenge this Friday at Cable Dahmer Arena when the Strykers make a visit to Kansas City. Here are the stats and milestones for the Comets on their trip to the Inland Empire.

Comets

The hattrick by Lesia Thetsane was the second of his Comets career.

Rian Marques’s 2 points gave him 148 in league play for KC, moving him ahead of Byron Alvarez and into 8th all time on that list.

Christian Anderaos recorded his 22nd league assist for KC, tying him with Alain Matingou, Geison, and Lesia Thetsane for 18th all time on that list.

Anderaos’s assist was his 60th point in league play for KC, tying him with Adam James for 17th all time on that list.

It was Anderaos’s 63rd point in all competitions, tying him with Matingou for 18th all time on that list.

KC Indoor

Ignacio Flores recorded his 94th league assist for KC indoor teams, breaking his tie with Jon Parry and Kim Roentved for 16th all time on that list.
