Gutierrez and Disappointing Results are Back!

Sporting Kansas City falter late, the KC Current never really seemed in it and Felipe Gutierrez is back. That and more this week!

For the Glory KC is back with the 42nd episode of the show.

On this week’s episode, Sporting Kansas City drop two points late against the Houston Dynamo, then things get weird with the referee’s end of game handling. We mostly focus on the game, but we can’t ignore this nonsense from Sebastian Ferreira and Sagafi’s mishandling of it.

The Kansas City Current‘s form falters as the injuries keep piling up. They are in a near desperate situation needing around 18 points over the next seven games (which is about 2.57 points per game). Basically, it’s must win from here out. Even two draws will probably doom them.

Plus, a little USMNT and USWNT talk and an ode to Megan Rapinoe from Sheena.

Here is a quick rundown of topics (and approximate start times):

  • Sporting KC draw late in Houston – 2:49
  • Felipe Gutierrez Returns – 39:20
  • The KC Current Lose to Racing Louisville – 56:45
  • Digital Crawl – 1:13:48

Upcoming Games

  • Sporting KC vs. Real Salt Lake – Wed. July 12 at 7:30 CT (Media Game at the half…)
  • SKC @ Austin FC – Sat. July 15th at 7:30 CT
  • SKC II vs San Jose Earthquakes 2 – Sun. July 16th at 6:00
  • KC Current are off until the 22nd before the Challenge Cup resumes
