KC Current EA FC 25 Ratings Revealed

On Friday, we told you Sporting Kansas City’s EA Sports FC 25 ratings. Now it’s the Kansas City Current’s turn! Electronic Arts have made big strides in their inclusion of women’s soccer/football into the game this year, finally allowing fans to do a Career Mode with the women’s teams. With the National Women’s Soccer League arguably the best league in the world, it is of course included among the few leagues in the game.

However, there are a lot of missing players on the KC Current roster. There are seven (!!) players missing from the roster, including: Kristen Hamilton, Alana Cook, Alex Pfeiffer, Jereko, Hildah Magaia, Katie Fraine and Sophie Braun. Sophie is out on loan, so maybe that explains that. And perhaps because Alex is underage? Plus, Jereko, Magaia and Fraine are all new. But the omission of Cook and Hamilton seems wild! Perhaps they didn’t want their likeness in the game?

About those Ratings…

Debinha took home the top spot on the team, and one of the top spots in the entire NWSL (2nd overall to Sophia Smith). She comes in at an 88 rating, just ahead of Mal Swanson of the Chicago Red Stars.

From there, it’s a bit of a drop to get to KC’s second highest rated player, 83 overall Almuth Schult. She barely beat out fellow keeper, AD Franch at 82.

Desiree Scott is the 6th highest rated player on the team (82 overall), surely partly due to prior contributions as she’s played just 101 league minutes this year. She’s also been supplanted in the starting lineup by Lo LaBonta (81) and Claire Hutton (70). Speaking of Hutton, her age may holding her rating back, as she’s absolutely a candidate for rookie of the year and a future full National Team player.

Another massive snub is the rating given to Temwa Chawinga. EA has her at 77 overall, despite being a legit MVP candidate and the leader for the Golden Boot right now. She also was given a horrendous 80 in pace. Come on EA!

As was the case with the men, the women who are young take a hit on their ratings and the veterans get a nice bump. Gabby Robinson may be the best CB on the team and she’s the lowest rated player on the roster (68). All the rookies and second year players are rated 70 or lower, including number two overall pick last year, Michelle Cooper, who is just rated at a 69.

Hopefully EA will revisit some of these ratings, but I’m not holding my breath!
