Across State Lines: Joveljic, Garcia Score in First Game After Leaving KC

It was a rough week for Sporting KC fans watching their two former Designated Players go out and opening their accounts with their new teams less than a week after both left the club. On Saturday, Dejan Joveljic scored twice for the Seattle Sounders in their 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire. On Sunday, Manu Garcia scored for Aris on his return to the club in their 2-1 win over OFI Crete.
Elsewhere this week, KC native and former KC Comet, Ray Saari has a new job, joining the front office of Portland Hearts of Pine as their new Sporting Director. Here’s the rest of this week’s update.
