Sporting KC
Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: .500 Soccer
Sporting KC fell for the seventh time this season and for the fifth straight time in league play and sixth in all competitions Saturday night in Chicago 5-0 to the Chicago Fire. The loss is a big one statistically as it evened up Sporting KC’s win/loss record. Sporting is now 378-378-209 in MLS play since they started playing in 1996. It’s a large drop over the last five years, from a height of 40 more wins than losses after a 2-0 win over the LA Galaxy on 10/27/21 to now. The team’s lowest point came in 2011 after a 1-0 loss on the road to the Seattle Sounders when Sporting had 14 more losses than they had wins. Three consecutive draws later KC picked up a win and slowly began working their way up. You can see the track over the club’s history below.
