Today, a pair of matches for Kansas City Soccer fans to enjoy. For KC Soccer Journal readers, we combined the match threads to provide one place for both games. The Current are first up and still flying high with a nearly perfect (only allowing one goal) start. After the Current wrap-up, there should be time to head home or elsewhere to catch Sporting KC. It will be the third match for the squad since Kerry Zavagnin stepped into the interim coach role.

Even down a goal Houston is really parking the bus.

Carrie Robinson

I’m glad we’re still pushing for another… Sperry mentioned on Keeping Current this team has been parking the bus after just one. (There was a break in typing this becaused Kayla Sharples scored) Let’s keep pushing!

Houston finally let their wing backs drift into the midfield in the 2nd half. They showed us so much respect, 5 back and 2 d-mids. 7 behind the ball was their entire game plan.

What is happening?

Miller is a liability

Wet water

But at least he is a liability with some long term up side, so that’s a positive change from the other liabilities that have been playing cb.

The first time in a decade I don’t go…

SportsChum

The boys are moving the ball really well. What a nice bit of play leading up to Thommy’s goal.
