Across State Lines: Thompson Named USL Champions Player of the Week

The USL Championship season continues to move along as most clubs are halfway through the season. Former Sporting KC goalkeeper and Homegrown Player, Brooks Thompson has moved into the starting role for Lexington SC, who currently sit tenth in the Championship’s Western Conference, but only one point out of a playoff position. This past week, Thompson made five saves as Lexington picked up a 0-0 draw on the road against the Sacramento Republic. The result earned Thompson the league’s player of the week award for the week.
