Across State Lines: Mewis Moves to West Ham

It’s the holiday season and there weren’t a lot of games this past week, but one former Kansas City player was on the move in this holiday season. Former FC Kansas City player, Kristie Mewis is on her way to England. This past week it was announced that NJ/NY Gotham FC and Mewis had agreed to mutually terminate Mewis’ contract with the club. At the same time it was announced by West Ham United that they had signed Mewis to a contract with the club. Mewis had spent the last two years with Gotham after being acquired via trade from the San Diego Wave after they’d selected Mewis in the expansion draft from the Houston Dash.
