Across State Lines: Lepley, Galaxy Win MLS Cup

The 2024 MLS season has come to a close with the LA Galaxy winning MLS Cup 2-1 over the New York Red Bulls at Dignity Health Sports Park. Kansas City did have a former player on the Galaxy in former Sporting KC academy player, Tucker Lepley. Lepley only made a hand full of appearances for the Galaxy, spending much of his time with the club’s MLS Next Pro team, Ventura County FC. He made three appearances for the Galaxy in league play in 2024, including a one minute cameo appearance against Sporting in the Galaxy’s 4-2 win in June. With the hectic MLS offseason calendar, the Galaxy had to make their roster decisions by Monday, with Lepley having his option for the 2026 season picked up by the Galaxy.

Elsewhere this week, a number of other players in multiple leagues have had options picked up and declined which will cause a lot of movement on the list for where players are. Here’s the rest of this week’s update.
