Across State Lines: Busio Up for Young Male Player of the Year

As the year is winding down groups are coming out with their end of year awards and nominees. One of those that came out yesterday was US Soccer who announced their nominees for all of their end of season awards. Among the nominees was former Sporting KC midfielder, Gianluca Busio who was among the nominees for US Soccer’s Young Male Player. Busio is up for the award with former club teammate Tanner Tessmann, Niko Tsakiris, Mathias Albert, and David Vazquez.

Yesterday, former Sporting KC academy player Kaile Auvray and his club Cavalier FC in Jamaica won CONCACAF’s Caribbean Cup on aggregate after a 2-1 loss to Cibao. Cavalier won on the away goal last night after winning the home leg last week 1-0. With the win, Cavalier earns a bye to the Round of 16 in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
