Across State Lines: Eric Dick Wins MVP as Pittsburgh Wins USL Championship

The USL Championship season came to an end this past weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma where FC Tulsa hosted the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the championship game. After both teams went the entire playoffs without allowing a goal, it wasn’t surprising that this game too ended scoreless as after 120 minutes it was 0-0. In penalty kicks, former Sporting KC goalkeeper, Eric Dick made one save as the Riverhounds came out on top 5-3 in the shootout. Dick was named the final’s MVP for the shutout and performance in the shootout helping Pittsburgh to the win. The individual award goes with the league’s goalkeeper of the year award he won last year. On the losing side was former Sporting KC II player, Travian Sousa who was on loan to Tulsa from the Seattle Sounders.
