Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: All Streaks Eventually End
The Kansas City Current’s 17 game unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday night in Houston as the Houston Dash topped the Current 1-0. The loss is the first by the Current since their 1-0 loss to the Seattle Reign back on May 2nd. The more pressing concern for the Current though is likely the health of reigning MVP, Temwa Chawinga, who left the game in the 29th minute with a leg injury. The Current is certainly more than one player, but the loss of Chawinga’s dynamic change of pace would be a massive blow right before the playoffs. The good news is that KC has three weeks before their playoff run starts to hopefully get Chawinga back and healthy. Here are the stats and milestones from the game in Houston.
