Former Players
Across State Lines: Wolff Out in Austin
The offseason is closing in on the MLS season and a number of teams will just be playing out the remainder of their schedule on Decision Day this year. One team that is has already moved forward and moved on from their current coach. Former KC Wizards forward, and Sporting Legend, Josh Wolff is out as the head coach of Austin FC after almost four seasons as the club’s head coach. After making the Western Conference final in 2022, Austin didn’t make the playoffs the last two years. He finished his time in Austin with a 45-30-60 (W-D-L) record for the club. Austin did not announce yet who will coach the team for their Decision Day game against the Colorado Rapids, but another Sporting Legend, Davy Arnaud is an assistant with the club and has previous experience as an interim head coach with the Houston Dynamo in 2019.
Here is the rest of this week’s update.
