Across State Lines: Nemeth Scores Hattrick in Hungarian Cup
With the return to domestic soccer this past week after the international break, countries are seeing their domestic cup reach the point where the higher division clubs start to enter the competitions. One of those competitions is the Magyar Kupa, which reached the third round this past week, which saw the first and second division teams enter the competition. Three former Sporting KC players are on teams that joined the competition this round, Botond Barath with Vasas, Yohan Croizet with Diosgyori, and Krisztian Nemeth with MTK Budapest. Croizet and Nemeth both played in their teams’ games, with Nemeth scoring a hattrick in his club’s 7-1 win. The hattrick is his second since leaving Sporting as he scored one in a league game for MTK during the 2022-2023 season.
Elsewhere this week, Jimmy Medranda continues to score bangers. Here’s the rest of this week’s update.
