Hoping to see Tzionis get some minutes today. He seemed dangerous for the first part of Wednesday’s game.
Voloder not in the 18….interesting.
I feel like he’s in the doghouse. He was essentially the 5th CB based on that Open Cup lineup. He’s made some mistakes but doesn’t feel like any more than Castellenos or Fontas.
And he has barely played any LCB, which is his primary spot. I think he did before getting subbed out against Montreal, but the midfield let the defense down in that game.
Agree. Feel like him getting subbed off in the Montreal game was a potential tipping point. I still want to see him play as a CB.
He feels like a classic example of PV’s penchant for holding grudges against (younger) players he hasn’t given a fair chance to. He’ll run out zombie Fontas but Voloder can’t catch a break.
PV does not understand how to play the kids
Neither is Roger. It is almost like they have more than 18 healthy people who can give them minutes for the first time in forever.
I do not like the angry birds soccer team
That’s not very nice. Haven’t you gotten the memo?
I took a fart on the memo. Minnesota should learn to bring a real GK to a soccer match. Also, English coaches are trash
Does anyone remember that their #10 is a rapist?
Not rape. Aggravated assault with a firearm.
Does anyone remember that their #10 beats children and is a complete shit?
Oh oh I do!!
Why does every expansion team steal our kits?
Potentially remi on the left side so Daniel and thommy don’t get in each others way?
If so, it took PV far longer to figure that out than anyone else watching the games.
Curious if that makes thommy and Johnny play on top of each other.
To my eye, at least, it doesn’t seem that way.
I continue to like Rosero.
Their GK looks scared already
I’ve seen it all, we actually scored on a corner
Having an extra target in the box in Radoja couldn’t hurt. They can’t just key in on one or two guys.
God, Fontas is horrible. Davis did a great job breaking that up. But Fontas was late on his step allowing a perfect pass and then slowly walks around the box instead of putting a body on the wide open shooters.
What is happening?
It’s a weird feeling, right?
This is the team I thought I was signing up for in 2023.
Their ball movement, touches, and positioning look so different.
Super weird when most of their first choice lineup is healthy and starting.
Was cooking supper. Just came in and saw we were winning 2-0.. then I sit down to watch and see the penalty… maybe I’ll go back into the kitchen.
Supper is not a meal
My step-dad, who lived in the country in MO as a kid, always called dinner, supper. And he would call lunch, dinner, which was extra weird.
That’s a pretty common phrasing, I think especially in rural areas. It’s a holdover from when the midday meal was the main meal of the day, especially in agriculture, and the evening meal just a relatively light refreshment. “Dinner” essentially means “the main meal” so it drifted into evening use as work patterns changed.
Yes, the places where the N word is common and education is suppressed. We should be respectful of those traditions for sure.
I don’t know who pissed in your Cheerios but you’re consistently being an ass tonight and I’m tired of it. There’s absolutely no call for this kind of comment.
Maybe it was the idiots who contributed to your DNA? Hard to say
Stop.
Ok, Im done.
I’m not done about this. My comment about rural language was intended to be a joke and so was my reply but your prickly response demands more attention. I made light of the FACT that rural culture should not be given too much credit because of the inherent hate and racism and whatever other dumb dumb stuff exists there and you reacted harshly against me for pointing at that. Literally no one benefits from ignorance and you are here defending it like I have to have some obligation to give space to ignorant rural racists for some reason. You are insulting me for calling out ignorance. You are now on the side of the ignorant. So think about your downvotes when you apply them. Your idea of free speech is actually promoting hate culture and you should be ashamed. Goodnight.
Is this a soccer forum?
I think that ignorance, prejudice, and internet hate are best identified and called out on an individual, evidence-rooted basis, lest one cast too wide a net and become what one seeks to criticize.
YEAH!!!!
Bad challenge from Melia, and not really necessary. The defenders recovered and should take charge.
But a nice save!
That was a fine challenge and should not have been called as a penalty. Ball doesn’t lie there
I would like to see a slow-mo replay. Did he not get the ball?
He def got the ball
He may have touched the ball but he also clearly took the guy down to get to it.
Yeah, totally fine
Vintage Melia right there. Chewing out the ref right up to the kick, then saves it easily. Love it.
Was nervous to check the score when I finally got around to it. What a pleasant surprise! That 2nd goal was nice-great team effort. And I said it a few games ago, but man is it nice to have a threat in the air!
My biggest complaint about SKC this season (especially after that midweek disaster in Houston) is how un-dangerous they have looked in the attack. Well, I’m going to at least momentarily eat my words because that second goal was a work of art. From Pulido’s turn in the middle of the pitch and his carrying up field to then his chip over the defense to Walter who then sent a heel pass to Salloi who finishes the sequence with a one-time blast past the ‘keeper. I LOVED every element of that!
Rosero just pulled a vintage Fontas, standing up to a charging attacker and almost casually knocking the ball away.
Meanwhile that save from Melia showcased his strength, literally; that took some serious arm muscles to deflect that hard shot at full stretch rather than having the arm knocked aside or backward.
This has to be the last season for Tim right
One of my favorite players but that would probably be for the best.
Do we know what’s up with Pulskamp? Why would he not have been on the bench tonight?
I was wondering that, too.
He’s a dumbass?
You’re on one tonight.
I assume he is starting for the IIs tomorrow.
The boys are rolling tonight
That smile on Kinda’s face gave me goosebumps. And what a pretty goal. Watch him take a quick glance up to check the goal and GK positioning then keep his head down to focus on the ball and not telegraph his intentions, then blind chip it over the keeper. Just awesome.
The Spanish language announcers were not very good tonight. They got the final score wrong somehow
