The Blue Turf: Comets are 6-1 after double win

Erik Bergrud from the Kansas City Comets broadcast team and Thad Bell from the Kansas City Soccer Journal recorded the latest episode of The Blue Turf for the 2023-24 season at the now “World Famous” Kansas City Soccer Dome. It was the first pod of 2024 and the Kansas City Comets are riding high and are fresh off a pair of wins over the cross-state rival St. Louis Ambush. The Comets are 6-1 after the double-win weekend. It was not easy for the Comets with the Ambush taking the lead in both matches but the Comets fought back to win both rounds.

Of course, there is a little discussion about St. Louis and the rivalry but talk moves to the next match this weekend with the Harrisburg Heat. How will the Comets approach a home game versus a winless team?

After the first two pod segments with Erik, Thad has a third pod segment with head coach Stefan Stokic. Coach Stokic talks about the two wins, what he wanted to be better, and how they are working on improving. Coach discusses how important this month will be for the Comets. Now that he has some games under his belt as the man in charge, we also his growth as the head coach.
