Logan Ndenbe suffers torn ACL
Sporting KC will be without the 23-year-old defender for the remainder of the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Sporting KC defender Logan Ndenbe will miss the remainder of the MLS Cup Playoffs after tearing his ACL during Round One against St. Louis City SC. Incredibly, the 23-year-old finished the match playing over 40 minutes after the injury.

It’s a brutal blow for Ndenbe, who had recently found a new level to his game and was playing the best soccer of his young career. The Belgian was immense for SKC in the series sweep of STL, scoring crucial goals in both matches.
While the severity of the tear is unknown, a torn ACL will likely keep him off the field until next summer.
On Wednesday at training, Logan was optimistic about his return next season. He says he will return “stronger”.

Here’s the update from Manager Peter Vermes. He also confirmed a broken nose for centerback Dany Rosero.

A red-hot Sporting KC has to wait three weeks until the Western Conference Semifinals. They will travel to face the winner of Game 3 between the Houston Dynamo (4) and Real Salt Lake (5).
