Match Thread August 9 – SKC vs San Diego
SKC needs points, will they experiment?
Sporting Kansas City hosts the top of the West, San Diego. It’s the first visit to Kansas City for the newest expansion team. They are flying high, scoring goals and getting results. On the other side, home team Sporting KC needs points to have any hope of making the playoffs. Inconsistent play and poor first halves have been SKC’s Achilles Heel.
A new defender is cleared to play but will he he get some time? Will Interim Head Coach Kerry Zavagnin change things up? All of these questions and more will be answered/

Love the formation at least, finally Munoz and Dejan starting together
Mistake to give up the goal but they are responding well. That pass from Miller was ridiculous.
They are certainly experimenting and it’s pretty fun to watch. Wish the goal hadn’t happened, but we’ve had so many good looks.
This looks like it may one of “those” games, where things just don’t go the way you need them too.
By far from the reason we’re down, but damn is the ref inconsistent. Then Ndembe gets taken out – with the SD player not even making an attempt on the ball – there no card on a clear yellow foul. The ref charged in like a madman – which mentally sets the tone for players – only to do nothing, then he gives Bassong a talk because he was hyping the crowd?
This ref is truly trash, let’s everything go then a yellow on manu’s first foul?
Yeah I was stumped there. A red could be argued for thst foul against Shapi, but no yellow was even given. Then a yellow for Garcia’s? I don’t get it
We’ve played better tonight in so many ways than we did in San Diego, but…
