I’m actually not sure winning this is actually in the team’s best interest future-matchup-wise, but I care even more about revenge on Toluca. Especially since I made a special trip for last year’s beatdown. I’d like to see be better performance, even if from my couch.
Afrifa 🤦♂️
“A bit of a calamity at the back.” Tuned in just in time!
SKC have had their chances. That’s the second close-range header Agada has sent just wide
That was gorgeous by Afrifa.
Agada’s first near-miss header was on a lovely cross from Afrifa as well. He’s done as much tonight as I’ve seen Salloi do all year.
Agada, tonight, is more snakebit than an Indiana Jones villian.
I was Indy for Halloween numerous times as a child, so A+, sir.
Willy is willing and able to put himself in so many good spots… just flip the switch!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player’s quality fade as fast as Alan Pulido. I mean this guy went from 14 goals last season to barely being able to keep the ball this season. For comparison, Johnny Russell’s abilities have faded but that has been gradual. He can still provide the occasional magic. But Pulido at the moment can’t even hold up the ball in the simplest of moments. He constantly gets the ball taken off him. Its just insane to see the vast difference between the two seasons.
I feel like people (including me) have been questioning him for a couple years now. Yeah, he had a good stretch just long enough to sign a Vermes Special, but to me he’s been unreliable for longer than that. Maybe some of it is PV not using him right or something, but I just feel like it’s been years since I really felt good watching him.
Give me 50% Afrifa over “100%” Salloi any day. The amount of times Salloi is aimlessly walking while someone within 20 feet of him gets closed down by 3 or 4 defenders is infuriating.
Then there’s his lack of urgency when he has the ball. 9 out of 10 times, he looks like he’s casually dribbling the ball in his backyard, not playing in a game.
