It’s not been bad, but NYCFC deserves at least one goal from the pressure they’ve put on us. We’ve had some good looks too, so I have to remind myself that we’re a second half team this year.
It’s time to bring in Santi for Shapi. Shapi’s been doing fine, but I feel like his effectiveness wears off after 60-70 minutes. I’d like to see Santi shake things up and not always cut inside
Sign Santi Muñoz already! That was some incredible work from him to get that goal set up! Great finish from Salloi. I was talking trash on him at the beginning of the game so I’m glad he could prove me wrong.
Santi causing trouble, Salloi with the birthday gift.
I was watching in Spanish, as usual, and was pretty amused when the announcer broke into full song with “cumpleaños feliz” as his call for the goal.
Apple does provide press kits with name pronunciations, right? This year seems especially unprofessional.
They do! And there are links to audio files where you can listen to the players say their own name multiple times.
It’s sort of inexcusable how bad some of the Apple folks are at some of the names.
Draw is what we deserved for our effort tonight, but not what we needed. The last section of our season is rough and these ones are so important. Bummer, but better than nothing.
Saw a lot of good effort and hustle tonight, way better than last week’s first half. Draw seems fair given how many good looks NYCFC got, too. Pulskamp bailed us out on numerous occasions.
