The crowd is pretty sparse compared to what it used to be a few years ago…..

I know this is an unpopular opinion but Radoja is trash. The only player we’ve had who was brought in to be a starting 6 worse than him is Claros but not by much.

kcrews123

Agreed. I’ve only heard about what he apparently does off the ball, but I’ve yet to see it. He’s a net-zero to the team

A&W

He’s an ok passer but his positioning defensively is abysmal. Constantly leaving acres of space in the middle of the pitch and top of the box.

Steve

I find that interesting, because I think his passing is bad. he completes a lot of passes, but they are always backwards. he hardly ever passes forward or splits line. the amount that a winger is running, and he pulls the ball back is ridiculous. he is very press resistant, so they can play the ball to him to get out of a defensive play, but he is a major reason, Sporting is never on the break running at the ball

A&W

I would definitely like someone who can be a deep lying playmaker and defensive solid but I think he’s ok at what he does do and is usually pretty accurate. You’re right, not really trying anything too difficult, but a lot of dudes mess up the easy passes too and he doesn’t often do that. As we’ve seen today though, his touch is awful

KCSpurs1996

Afrifa is just the shot in the arm we need right now!

KCSpurs1996

swiss cheese defense….is Rosero really that slow?

A&W

He’s actually pretty pacey, Julio is just faster

Joe Pacheco

The defense sucks!!! But let’s bring in a mid fielder. We scored 3 tonight at home which should be good enough to win. Our center backs are trash.

A&W

This is the worst defensive soccer team I’ve ever seen

A&W

Thommy needs to cut this hero shit out

Josh Wallace

Luna is slicing up this midfield like butter. Passing and Dribbling.

A&W

Another break right where Radoja should be and he’s nowhere to be seen

lwhskc

Every RSL break goes right at goal. Every SKC break they hold up possession waiting for the entire defense to recover and then pass 30 yards backwards.

Josh Wallace

So I don’t think Radoja is a bad defensive midfielder, but I think one thing is very clear: he is getting exposed without Remi to cover ground. Radoja has never been a player that covers ground, in La Liga or MLS, so without a player who does that defensive work, you can see a lot of his deficiencies. I think PV brought him to SKC mostly for his ability in possession, and a little bit less for his ability out of possession. I would bet alot of money that when Remi gets back, he will look alot better in the defensive midfield. But as a lone pivot, without a ground covering 8? He’s not looking good.

A&W

I dunno, it seems like there’s is always empty space behind the 8s and Radoja is nowhere to be found. The top of the box is open on dang near every set piece or cross as well. If he happens to be where he’s supposed to be here can make some plays but he’s just rarely there

kcrews123

So about Fontas……

He’s terrible

A&W

The slowest professional athlete I’ve ever seen

Joe Pacheco

And the most unathletic!!

KCSpurs1996

ngl that was a beautiful chip shot from Gomez

absolutely inexcusable that Rosero and Fontas did not track back to their defensive positions after the corner kick. I have not a clue what they were thinking but that is as dumb as it gets. Compounded by whatever the hell that bad looping pass from davis was that gave the ball back to RSL for the break on goal

A&W

I guess this ref just doesn’t care if a guy might have a head injury?

KCSpurs1996

really, that’s not a yellow for katranis??

kcrews123

Russell should have had 3 pretty easy goals tonight

Edit: right after his dink of a shot right at Beavers, they go and score.

SIX MOTHER FLIPPING DEFENDERS IN THE BOX AND ONE DUDE SCORES. Absolutely GARBAGE ass defending. Brian Bliss needs to be fired into the sun for this awful, awful roster. Just disrespectfully bad.

Joe Pacheco

Peter needs gone as well!!

A&W

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a defender who is worse at tracking guy in the box when the ball is in the air than Voloder.

Our offense is breathing some life into this team, but the defense is gonna keep us anchored to the bottom of table for the foreseeable future
