Sporting KC picked up their fourth win of the season on Saturday night in Houston defeating the Houston Dynamo on goals by Dejan Joveljic (two) and Santiago Munoz. The win sees Kansas City pull themselves within four points of the playoff spots in MLS’s Western Conference.
In KC on Sunday, Sporting KC II though couldn’t replicate the first team, losing their second straight 4-1 to the Colorado Rapids 2. The loss extends the winless run for SKCII to eleven in league play and twelve in all competitions as the team is still winless on the MLS Next Pro season. KC is now nine points adrift at the bottom of the MLS Next Pro Western Conference with just four points through their eleven league games.
