Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Rough Weekend for KC Soccer
This past weekend was one that soccer fans in Kansas City likely won’t want to remember as the three professional teams came up winless this weekend. On Saturday the KC Current dropped their second game this week against Racing Louisville, this time at home in league play, falling 2-0. Across the state of Missouri the first Insert Rivalry Name Here between Sporting KC and St. Louis City took place at Citypark, and only one team looked up for the rivalry as St. Louis brushed KC aside with a 4-0 win. On Sunday, Sporting KC II at least picked up a point against St. Louis City II in MLS Next Pro action. Unfortunately Sporting allowed a 2-0 lead to slip away before falling on penalty kicks 5-4 to leave with just the one point. Here are the stats and milestones from this weekend.
